Elysium's fresh Vanilla Classic realm Nethergarde realm to be released on 30th March
Introducing: Nethergarde! Our latest fresh PVP realm! Launching March 30th @ 5PM GMT+1/12PM EST!
There were several ongoing votes on the forums regarding the experience rate and the name of the realm. The realm name, Netherwing, was decided on 23rd March. The complete details about the realm are as follows:
- EXP Rate: x1 Blizzlike EXP
- Battlegrounds: All BGs open at launch (AB/AV/WSG) - We have made changes to the queue system to correct issues from Nighthaven. Hopefully these issues will be fixed.
- Raid Dungeons: MC/Ony/BWL Open upon launch
- Patch Progression: Fast paced. Same as Nighthaven (Approximately 1 year to complete all content). Timeline to be released soon.
- PVP Gear: Update @ Patch 1.7
- Riding Costs/Training: 900g @ Start of realm for training. Mounts BOP. (Originally this is released in 1.12)
Elysium's decision to abandon the idea about increased experience "Leveling" rate is probably because that would stimulate "illegal" activities including but not limited to Account selling, botting, multibox grinding, gold farming.
x1 Blizzlike rates allows for a realm longevity. Even though retail Classic is pending a launch in about 4-5 months from now, and Elysium's TBC in Q2, the Elysium devs wish this to be a long-term realm where players will invest their time in. To make up for the potential time constraints for the players who will be joining Blizzard's Classic WoW, the realm will be launched with open Battlegrounds, Quick-Pace raids including Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair and Blackwing Lair. The 1.1 - 1.12.1 patch release time-frame will be set for 1 year. Nethergarde will also feature:
- Monthly PvP Tournaments
- Transfer to the upcoming Elysium TBC Realm
